RF Development Engineer (m/f)
Quality Management


  • Design, development, optimization and deployment of complex RF systems for reliability and qualification tests
  • RF driving force for development of hardware and software to control reliability tests
  • Testing and debugging of pre-production of RF front-end modules
  • Performing of accelerated qualification tests with use of e.g. RF signals, high temperature, etc.
  • In touch with RF front-end modules designers, developers, testing group, failure analysis group and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent work with project and product managers
  • Involved in data handling, processing, screening and visualization
  • Finding failure modes and mechanisms via the failure analysis methods at EPCOS
  • Participation in printed circuit board designs

Required education

PhD or Master of Science in electronics, telecommunications, physics or equivalent


  • More than 5 years of work experience as RF Development Engineer
  • Understanding of complex RF systems (preferably cell phones, wireless communication standards), power amplifier and antenna technology
  • Experience in the development of software and test setups
  • Experience with common industrial interfaces
  • Experience in designing of printed circuit boards for RF-applications
  • Necessary knowledge of CAD
  • Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW and the common programming languages (e.g. C++, etc.)
  • Very good verbal and writing communication skills in English
  • German language is an advantage
